Water Damages in Wood Framing - Ankeny

This homeowner called us about water damages in there finished basement that was caused by a toilet that failed on the main level.

Our emergency crew that is available 24/7 responded quickly and set up an action plan.  In the before picture you can see the water that was adsorbed into the drywall behind the layers of paint.

After removing the wet drywall, our crew determined that the header, wall studs, and the ceiling joists were holding high levels of moisture.  In the after picture you can see that we had to remove even more drywall in order to bring down the levels of moisture to the dry standard.  Also due to the fact the water damages were caused by a toilet we have to wipe down all affected areas to prevent the growth of bacteria that can lead to mold.  The client was very impressed with how thorough our team was in detecting the moisture and how clean we left the job.
